The Beet Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 120 ml (½ cups) pomegranate juice
  • 1 orange, peeled, halved
  • ½ lemon, peeled, halved
  • 35 g (¼ cups) beetroot, quartered
  • 50 g (½ cups) fresh parsley leaves, tightly packed
  • 60 g (2 cups) spinach
  • 3 cm (1 inch) fresh ginger root
  • 195 g (1½ cups) ice cubes

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
  2. Select Variable 1.
  3. Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.
  4. Blend for 45 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.

Makes:

960 ml (4 cups)
