Combined with fresh berries, lavender syrup adds distinct flavour to this cocktail.
Lavender Syrup
Ingredients
- 480 ml (2 cups) water
- 240 ml (1 cup) honey
- 10 g (¼ cup) dried lavender
Directions
- Bring the water and honey to a boil in a saucepan. Add the lavender and simmer 5 to 10 minutes. Cool slightly. Transfer the mixture to the Vitamix container and secure lid.
- Select Variable 1.
- Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.
- Blend for 30 seconds or until desired consistency is reached. Strain into a bottle and refrigerate overnight.
Lavender Berry Limeaid
Ingredients
- 90 ml (3 fluidounces) lavender syrup
- 40 g (⅓ cup) raspberries
- 50 g (⅓ cup) blueberries
- 45 g (⅓ cup) blackberries
- 3 strawberries, hulled, quartered
- Juice of three limes
- 90 ml (3 fluidounces) vodka
- 45 ml (1½ fluidounce) Grand Marnier
- 130 g (1 cup) ice cubes
- soda water
- mint, for garnish
Directions
- Place the vodka, Grand Marnier, lime juice, lavender syrup, berries, and ice into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
- Select Variable 1.
- Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.
- Blend for 15 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.
- Divide evenly over four glasses, top with soda water and garnish with mint.
